
Great word for the week....
In 1998 when I was in the 12th grade, my High School had a field trip to the second largest Sea Port in Liberia, Buchanan in Grand Bassa County...There I had an encounter with one of the few languages in Liberia that have/had written Alphabets, through the eyes of an Older friend who then was a new found friend.
She taught me how to spell my African name "Tieh" not using Roman Alphabets, but "Bassa" alphabets. And , if my dad's tribe had a writing form, it would probably be the same or close, because both my dad's tribe(Kru) and the Bassa tribe use almost the same words and diction style...
